Right to Play Pakistan in collaboration with the US Embassy is launching an exchange program aiming at addressing gender based voilence through sports.
A select group of Pakistani experts invested in advancing the strategy of addressing gender-based violence through sport will travel to United States in September 2019 (exact dates dependent on visa and other logistical procedures). The objective of the trip will be to learn from a breadth of practitioners who work in direct service, advocacy and associated programming related to gender-based violence, with a specific focus on those employing a sport/play-based approach. Site visits and cultural exchange will happen in two cities in the U.S. The trip will last a total of nine days, with three days of international travel and six days of site visits, cultural exchanges and reciprocal learning.
All costs of the trip will be covered by the U.S Embassy. Since this is a significant investment where time and resources will be dedicated to selecting and bringing the most relevant candidates to the United States, it is expected that participants will positively contribute to their organizations and communities upon return. The participants will also be expected to play a vital role during the reverse exchange of Americans to Pakistan in November 2019.
Deadline for all applications is 29th April 2019.
